The Ladies of Shibden Women’s Institute would like to thank Wendy and Mike for hosting the annual Garden Party. There were cream scones and tea,a raffle and a bring and buy stall. All the money raised will go towards the Birthday Party in October. The members also had a very enjoyable trip out to Lotherton Hall, where they walked around the Bird Gardens in the sunshine in the morning and, after lunch, went into the Hall to see the displays and exhibitions before calling for a fish and chip tea on the way home. The next meeting will be on Wednesday 10th September at Northowram Methodist Church, at 7.30, when the speaker will be Mr Robert Wood, talking about The Mystery of Crystals, and visitors will be welcome.
