Market returns

Ripponden Community Market returns during the weekend of the Sowerby Bridge Rushbearing Festival.

The market, which is organised and run by Ripponden Parish Council, will be held on Sunday, September 7 will open to the public at 10.00am. It will feature locally produced pies, cheeses, cakes and biscuits from the Little Yorkshire Biscuit Company, pictured, as well as jewellery, accessories and gifts.

Coun Craig Johnson, from Ripponden Parish Council, said: “It will be open until 4pm so visitors can browse and buy prior to the procession arriving at St Bartholomew’s Church”.
