Home win earns Hall trio a trip to Beverley

Bradley Hall hosted the preliminar­y round for the Yorkshire Union’s Seventh Division Team Championsh­ip on Tuesday and promptly won the event.

Jim Fairhurst (76), Andy Hare (78) and Lewis Hopkinson (84) shot a total of 238 to beat Ripon City by two shots with The Oaks and Sitwell Park a further two behind.

Crow Nest Park also earned a place in next Wednesday’s Seventh Division event at Beverley and East Riding.

They finished joint fifth of the 22 teams on 243 thanks to Ben Adamson (76), Luke Higgins (81) and Dave Vine (83).

Bradley Hall pro Dave Delaney said: “The organisers were chuffed with the way things went - we’ve done a lot of work on the course.” The 10th event of the HalifaxHud­dersfield Alliance season, the Ron Parkinson Trophy, is at Elland on Tuesday.
