Behind scenes look in supermarke­t

A group of children from Heathfield Junior School, Rishworth, visited Tesco to take part in their ‘Farm to Food’ project.

They went behind the scenes at the supermarke­t to find where the different foods come from and how they are stored. Northowram Darby & Joan “Afternoon” Club held their Tuesday afternoon meeting at Northowram Methodist Church. Mary Lister introduced the speaker Eric Scaife who spoke on “Yorkshire Dialect”. Eric was thanked by Mary for a most enjoyable afternoon. The raffle winners were Staney Brownridge and Mary Lister.
