IF CRAFT beer and Scandi inspired decors are your cup of tea (or pint of choice), then you’ll love Kobenhavn.

Based in Halifax’s Westgate Arcade, near the Piece Hall, Kobenhavn is one of the newest boozers in the town centre.

The bar is the latest venture for the Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, who have won both the CAMRA Halifax and Calderdale and SPBW West Riding

Pub of the Year award. Serving 24 beers on tap and six ales on handpulls, Kobenhaven is sure to become one of the hottest spots for beer lovers in Calderdale.

As well as serving real ale and craft beer, the bar prides itself on its selection of wine and artissan coffee.

Despite only being open for just over a month, the Meandering Bear in the town centre already proving to be a favourite amongst locals. The dog friendly bar on Unity Street is ran by Michael and Jess Ainsworth, who also own Grayston Unity, along with business partner and friend Andrew Murphy.

The bar’s name pays homage to one of Halifax’s quirkier historical stories. Before the First World War the Siddal Zoo in Halifax, lost one of their bears, who wandered around the town before being caught in the woods in Copley and returned to the zoo. It also serves an array of meat and cheese plates, pies, and bar snacks and offers a discount for punters attending events in the town centre.
