Unknown origins Netflix, from Friday
If you’re a fan of both crime dramas and comic book adaptations, you should love this Spanish movie.
Set in Madrid in 2019 (ie before lockdown), it begins as the city’s residents are being terrorised by a serial killer. People with no apparent connection are being bumped off left, right and centre; what makes the case so intriguing is that the murderer uses their bodies to recreate the origin stories of certain very famous superheroes. Detective Cosme is on the verge of retirement; he and his replacement, David, join forces with Jorge Elias, Cosme’s nerdy son, who owns a comic book shop, and his friend Norma, a cosplayer, to find out whodunit. Based on a novel, Unknown Origins is a lot of fun, just don’t take it too seriously.

All Or Nothing: Tottenham Hostpur
Prime video, from Bank Holiday Monday.
The 2019/20 football season was like no other, in particular for Tottenham Hotspur. Following their historic UEFA Champions League final appearance the previous summer, the North London side made a lacklustre start to the campaign and eventually dispensed of popular head coach Mauricio Pochettino. With the club still settling into its brand-new 62,000-seater stadium in North London and chairman Daniel Levy continuing his mission to transform the local area, a new manager arrived with high expectations. However, nothing could have prepared José Mourinho for what was about to occur during the spring of 2020. This nine-part fly-onthe-wall series offers an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes at the football club.
