Addressing the lack of memory

I shall not be sad to see

Craig Whittaker hang up his boots. In his leaving speech he attempts to portray himself and his government in glowing terms so I will address his lack of memory.

The last 12 years of his Tory government has seen the biggest fall in living standards for decades, huge price rises not seen since the 1970s, 10.9 per cent of English households suffering fuel poverty, 27,000 people homeless, 14m people living in damp or sub-standard housing with 400,000 children without a bed to sleep on. 14.4m people living in poverty including 4.2m children.

There are an estimated 21m people now using food banks, we now have fuel banks, baby banks, clothes banks, bedding banks and toiletry banks all thanks to the five Tory prime ministers and their

loyal MPs of which Craig Whittaker is one of their finest, voting for every austerity measure while voting against stopping tax evaders and tax havens for the super rich.

Some Tories have their picture taken at food banks as if it is a badge of honour, oh how uncaring have we become.

Many people would starve if not for the volunteers who work tirelessly and without pay to feed and clothe them. These and the public donations are the heroes not the Tory government and their MPs. Hunt's budget gave £4bn over the next four years to the richest few, nothing for the rest of us, such is levelling up, the biggest load of codswallop ever invented. So, goodbye Craig you will not be missed as you and your mates have made this country the sick man of Europe.
