Based on the cult film and with a rocking new score from Andrew Lloyd Webber, School of Rock follows slacker Dewey Finn as he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitarshredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. As they prepare for the Battle of the Bands, can Dewey make them embrace the empowering message of rock?

their ballroom journeys while shining a spotlight on their love affair with dance. It also celebrates their wonderful relationship on and off the dance floor, while following their journey from childhood dancers to ballroom and Latin champions, becoming TV stars and more.

Historical Halifax Panoramic Walking Tour
Meet Discover Halifax/ Halifax BID Information Centre, 10 The Square, Sunday April 2 at 10am A delightful panoramic walk on the hills immediately around Halifax centre, taking three and a half hours and offering extensive views over not only the town but also the Hebble and Shibden Valleys.
It will look at the marked prosperity of Georgian Halifax, based on trade and textiles, mining and minerals – all well before the industrial revolution. The walk points out places of interest connected to influential figures such as Lister, Rawson and Bronte. The walk follows pathways but is steep in places and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
