Hulme composes double century in dominant win
Stones opener Gary Hulme crafted his first ever double century in a superb innings of 204 not out to propel his side to a 101-run home win over Outlane in ENCO Halifax League Division Two.
Ethan Mosey (48) and Kevin O’Rourke (45no) added their contributions to a score of 314-1.
The visitors faced a daunting task but made a valiant effort scoring 213 all out, including Chris Brook’s 89.
Joint leaders Cullingworth eased to a 53-run victory at home to Bradley and Colnebridge while fellow pace setters Sowerby St Peter’s won by four wickets at Oakworth.
Just one point adrift are Queensbury, who prevailed by six wickets at Upper Hopton.
Old Town squeezed home by just nine runs against visitors Bridgeholme. The match produced 443 runs with Old Town opener Sagher Shaheen (72) and Bridgeholme’s Muhammad Maqsood (81) the top scorers.
Leymoor’s Dominic Moorhouse claimed career best figures of 13-3-41-6, as Augustinians was bowled out for 140.
The home team raced to a winning 143-5 to complete a 36-point haul over the last eight days.
