RishworthiansstartedSaturday afternoon’s game like an express train, but in the second half were completely pushedintothesidingsbyadetermined Hull side.
It had all started well as Rishworthians looked fired up, inspired by an early 50-22 kick from fullback Rangi Kui.
Twice they almost got over before eventually good work by the forwards and several phasesendedwithcoachRichardBrowntouchingdown.Kui added the conversion.
The visitors hit straight backandforcedtheirwayover in a similar vein for an unconverted try, before taking the lead with a penalty, which brought a yellow card for skipper Doug Heseltine.
Centre Kurt Sutcliffe was quick to pick up after the ball squirted out from a scrum which broke up.
He put in a telling burst before passing to fellow centre Chris Robinson, who powered over the line. Kui converted.
The visitors came back and a penalty on the stroke of halftime made it 14-11.
The second half started badly for Rishworthians as missed tackles saw the visitors move the ball wide for a converted try.
While the home side’s efforts degenerated there was some great work on the right wing by Will Scrimshaw and flanker James McHugh once again led the tackle count.
Hullensians looked more and more determined and it was no surprise when they forced their way over for a bonus point fourth converted try.
At the end Rishworthians finally got their game together and almost got over after a great break by prop Jasper Brown, but it would only have been a consolation.
