Lazytown stage show heads into Lanark

Fans of the hit children’s television show Lazytown are in for a real treat when the show takes its tour around the UK to celebrate its tenth anniversar­y.

The much-anticipate­d Lazytown Live on stage tour is coming to Lanark Memorial Hall on Saturday, July 9. Presented by Millennium Entertainm­ent Internatio­nal in associatio­n with GRT Entertainm­ents, Lazytown Live on Stage offers youngsters the chance to enjoy an all-new adventure with Sportacus, Robbie Rotten, Stephanie and Ziggy.

Nick Larkin of MEI promises a non-stop, highly-interactiv­e and energetic treat, jam-packed with singing, dancing, spectacula­r acrobatics, music and fun.

“We can promise that Robbie will be at his rottenest worst,” says Nick.

“Meanwhile, Sportacus will be at his athletic, super-active best – running, jumping and flipping to save the day.”

Lazytown mixes music, movement and humour aiming to engage, entertain and motivate children to make healthier choices in their everyday lives.

“Youngsters are encouraged to play, move, dance and sing – and feel really good about it,” says Nick. “Lazytown may have the laziest name on television, but it’s jampacked with action, energy and a powerful message that tells children they can do it.”

Featuring well-known songs from the TV show, including No One’s Lazy in Lazytown, Bing Bang, Never Say Never, Master of Disguise, Welcome to Lazytown and Time to Play, and introducin­g the benefits of “sports candy” (apples and a variety of other fruit and vegetables) in inspiratio­nal style.

MEI are internatio­nal producers of children’s theatre-based television hits. Past live shows include Ben 10 Live, Barney and Friends, Charlie and Lola and Smurfs Live On Stage.

In Lazytown Live, children are invited to meet their favourite Lazytown characters and learn how to be a real super hero. “It’s time to go, go, go, get up Lazytown,” says Nick, “in a wonderful stage show spectacula­rly suitable for ages three to 103.”

Lazytown first aired in the UK in 2005 and can be seen currently on Turner’s Boomerang and Cartoonito, and Channel 5’s Milkshake.
