Katie made-up to be nominated by brides
A Motherwell make-up artist has made it to the final of two separate wedding awards after being nominated by several brides for her hard work.
Make-up queen Katie Malin has worked her magic on many faces over the years and now it is her time to shine as she has been named as a finalist for both The Scottish Wedding Awards and The Confetti Wedding Awards.
The talented 24-year-old was delighted to be nominated for something that she loves doing.
She said:“it is so exciting to be a finalist alongside so many amazing makeup artists.
“It is always a lovely thing to be appreciated for your hard work. Make-up is not just a job, it is my absolute passion.
“I love to enhance a woman’s natural features and to see the instant confidence they have when they leave.”
The blonde beauty was entered into The Scottish Confetti Awards by brides who gave testimonials about her work on their wedding morning, and she is nominated for Bridal Makeup Artist.
For the Scottish Wedding Awards, Katie was nominated for Freelance Hair/makeup Specialist of the Year by brides and other clients who had their makeup done by her.
Katie who studied make-up artistry at Clydebank College, has been working as a freelance artist for four years and has even created a make-up studio in her home.
The winners for the Confetti Wedding Awards will be announced on January 29, while the Scottish Wedding Awards are being held on February 26.
