Take time to think and give thanks to God

-

We all need time to recharge our batteries, to rest and step back from our busy lives.

But, what does that look like? Well, it depends on who you ask.

For some it means a walk in the woods, for others, taking time alone, for others it might mean just having a lie in.

For Christians, the important thing is making time to think about and celebrate what God is doing and in the lives of our loved ones.

Perhaps someone found success in school or at work.

Maybe someone is getting better after an illness.

Maybe a relationship is on the mend.

Maybe you’re just thankful to make it through another day.

It’s not so much what we do or how we do it. It’s more about just making time for God in your life and acknowledging that you need God and appreciate the blessings that are yours each day.

God commands that we “remember the Sabbath and keep it holy…on it you shall do no work.”

God is not trying to cramp our style or take anything away from us. God is asking us to make time in our lives to think about His goodness and many blessings.

Maybe it’s been a while since you did something like that?

Find some time today, or this week, and just have a think and give thanks to God who created you and who loves you deeply.
