County boys in Easter friendly victory
Lanarkshire Boys beat Fife Boys 5.5/2.5 in their annual friendly at Burntisland Golf Club on Monday.
The game started in slight drizzle but ended in brilliant sunshine and the course was in excellent condition.
The contest was played in a great spirit, with the host club providing superb facilities and hospitality. Results were: Kieran Mcallister (Easter Moffat) beat Stuart Philip (Lundin) 3/2.
Scott Thomson (Drumpellier) lost to Liam Duncan (Dunnicker) 7/5.
Scott Macpherson (Bothwell Castle) halved with Dean Walsh (Lochgelly).
Jack Emerson (East Kilbride) beat Jack Lockhart (Pitreavie) 6/5.
Fraser Merriweather (Carluke) beat Ciar Chalmers (Lochgelly) 3/2.
Euan Graham (Hamilton) lost to Finlay Sey (St Andrews New Club) 4/2.
Lewis Graham (Hamilton) beat Joe Meldrum (Burntisland) 4/2.
Scott Littlejohn (Colville Park) beat Kieran Page (Burntisland) 3/1.
Lanarkshire Boys’next match is a West of Scotland League match against Glasgow Boys at Easter Moffat on Sunday May 21 at 11am.
Lanarkshire Golf Association host their Boys Spring Meeting at Shotts Golf Club on Sunday, with an 11am start.
