SRS Autoparts is 35 years young
SRS Autoparts are wholesale distributors of quality car and light commercial parts, car care and accessories, paints, tools, and garage equipment.
As a company that considers itself as a David in competition with the Goliaths in the automotive factoring sector, it is little wonder that SRS Autoparts is this year celebrating 35 successful years as a Scottish family owned and run business.
Established in Bellshill in 1982 by Paul Mckenna as Steering Rack Services Ltd, SRS initially focused on manufacturing and engineering and operated with just a single van to deliver direct to customers.
The business grew, and SRS developed and diversified from manufacturing and repair services into wholesaling component parts.
In addition to the wholesaling business in Glasgow, they opened Edinburgh and East Kilbride depots as motor factors with walk about retail shops on both sites.
SRS Autoparts deal directly with the independent garage, fast fit centres and MOT centres, and welcome the general public looking for a comprehensive retail area for the basics, wiper blades, engine oil and additives as well as every product required to keep your vehicle looking and running in top condition.
SRS moved to their Springburn Place depot in 2016 to offer a complete stock program for their customers.
“We want to be a one stop shop for all our garage and trade customers,” said MD Noreen Hoolaghan.
“We have greatly increased our stock holding and distribution network to maximise our services in East Kilbride and surrounding areas.”
SRS also believe in a complete package for their customers and invest in the latest technology, playing its part in much of the customer-service experience.
Providing quick, easy and accurate stock identification, by keying registration numbers of vehicles providing accurate parts identification.
SRS also provide various training courses, with 40 of their customers all successfully completing their MOT CPD course.
And four customers successfully completing a week long course to become a MOT tester.
Its Autocare garage programme offers quality garages; branding, IT, technical training courses and marketing to help them develop their businesses.
It is part of the 6000 plus European network called Eurogarage.
The second garage network is approvedgarages.co.uk which provides quality workmanship fitting quality parts and is successful in generating new customers for garages within the network.
