It was another busy week on the Hamilton Advertiser’s Facebook page.

One story that many of our readers commented on was about the lorry that got stuck at the Motherwell Bridge Work causing major delays.

Lindsay Mcmullan said:“this might have been the issue with the roads.”

Anne Taylor said: “that is the road I came, that’s at the railway crossing, the road was closed at Motherwell cross.”

Louise Mclachlan said: “scary stuff, I hate crossing there.”

Another story that got many of you talking on our Facebook page was about the prankster who placed a cone on one of The BIG Stampede statues to rival the Duke of Wellington in George Square. Pamela Mctaggart said: “brilliant.” Donna Boyle said: “i saw this earlier in Hamilton and it made me chuckle!”

Elizabeth Pierce said: “i got a photo of it with my grandkids on either side.”

Hazel Battersby-sword said: “Someone’s certainly having a giraffe!”

He was so impressed by the youngster’s work that he tweeted a message to his thousands of followers saying‘ murron’s book looks amazing!’
