Anita scales the heights
Hill walking beauty queen loved being a Miss Scotland finalist
Motherwell beauty Anita Walls said she had an amazing experience at this year’s Miss Scotland competition.
Stunning Anita (21) was absolutely over the moon to make it to the final 15 and, despite not winning the title, loved every minute of the journey.
She said: “Miss Scotland has without a doubt been the most amazing experiences of my life and I have made friends for life and had the best summer ever.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to my chosen charity.
“It is overwhelming just how much support I have received and I’m excited to continue working closely with the hospice.
“I am also so overwhelmed at the kind messages I have received too.”
During the experience the law graduate raised almost £700 for the charity of her choice, which was St Andrew’s Hospice.
One week before the final, Anita pulled on her hiking boots and climbed Ben Nevis to raise funds for the hospice.
She said: “Despite being told the weather conditions were too bad to go to the top, we powered through and reached the summit.
“I have never experienced coldness like it in my life, however I’m so happy to say I have raised over £600 for the hospice.”
The final was held at the Doubletree Hilton hotel in Glasgow on August 24 and Milngavie beauty Romy Mccahill scooped the crown.
Anita also took to Facebook to congratulate the winner on the night.
She said: “What an amazing night and congratulations to the new Miss Scotland, Romy.”
