Haven hosts autumn ball
Alona Hotel venue for weekend event
Lanarkshire charity The Haven will host their autumn ball this weekend.
The Alona Hotel in Strathclyde Park will be the venue for the fundraiser on Saturday, September 30.
And proceeds will help The Haven — which has three centres in Blantyre, Forth and Wishaw — provide emotional support to around 800 people, and their families, who are affected by life-limiting illness.
Entertainment will come from host Steve Mckenna, with music from The Michael Brawley Big Band.
Haven fundraiser Scott Cunningham said: “We rely heavily on community support to continue to deliver the vital services which The Haven provides across Lanarkshire.
“Following on from the success of last year’s ball, The Haven are delighted once again to be hosting this evening of fun, food and entertainment.
“There is still time to snap up some tickets, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Tickets for the event and cost £45 per person and the price includes a welcome drink, three-course meal and entertainment.
“Corporate support in the form of sponsorship or in the form of highlevel auction and raffle prizes really supports the fundraising initiative on the night, and guests will be in for a chance of winning some prizes.
“As always, if anyone would like to help with corporate support or prizes we would be delighted for them to get in touch through scott@ thehavencentre.com or 01698 727505.”
The charity has several fundraising events planned throughout the year with something for everyone. For more information visit www. thehavencentre.com or follow them on Facebook.
