Nursery raise funds for hospital

-

Hopscotch Childcare Centre held a ‘purple fun day’in aid of the Schiehallion Appeal.

The staff, children and families all joined in the fun and games for the charity.

Taking part in the fundraising fun, they dressed in purple and took part in lots of activities.

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s Schiehallion Appeal hosts a number of Go Purple Days, as that is the colour of the charity.

The children enjoyed making purple gloop and creating beautiful purple pictures, which they sent to the children in the Schiehallion Ward at the hospital.

In total, the nursery raised £103 for the Schiehallion Appeal and that will go towards helping sick children.

And after they raised the money, the youngsters were invited into the hospital to hand over the funds that they had raised.

Pictured are some of the children and staff from the Tuphall Road nursery visiting the hospital to present the cheque.

And after handing it over, the children enjoyed a special tour of the hospital and learned about how the money will be used.
