Gig at Hamilton Park

- Shirley Bartynek

Hamilton Park Racecourse has announced the star lineup for its ultimate family racenight this summer.

Sibling trio the Cutkelvins are set to take the stage by storm at the Sunday Mail & Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation Family Racenight on Saturday, July 14.

Fresh from the X Factor tour, the Lanark act will make a triumphant return to home turf for the special performance, after rising to fame on the hit ITV show last year.

Joining them on the bill are top tribute act Little Mix Magic, back by popular demand following last year’s fantastic performance, and Capital Scotland’s Garry Spence, who will be hitting the decks as the sun sets on the blockbuster family night.

The perfect night out for the whole family will get underway at 4pm, with a host of free activities to keep the little ones, and big kids alike, entertained.

With live music, bungee trampolines, lasertag, pony rides, face painting and human table football, it’s so much more than just an evening’s racing.

The event will also see the return of Hamilton Park’s famous kids’ fancy dress competition, open to under-18s, with £250 up for grabs for the best costume as selected by the judges.

Tickets are priced at £20 when booked in advance, a reduction of £5 from 2017, with free entry for under-18s.

Final details for the exciting racenight have been revealed following the announcement of a £250,000 investment in the racecourse’s visitor experience earlier in the week.

Vivien Currie, chief executive at Hamilton Park Racecourse, said: “Our family fixtures are always a huge draw and we have a trio of events in store this season.

“We’ve already announced our May season opener, the Totepool Family Raceday with Scotland’s first National Chef, Gary Maclean.

“Now, the Sunday Mail & Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation Family Racenight looks set to be a real highlight of the summer.

“It’s a fantastic mix of racing, kids activities and live music, with something for all the family to enjoy.

“There are lots more exciting fixture announcements still to come in the weeks ahead, so watch this space for more.”

Early bird tickets for the 2018 season at Hamilton Park Racecourse are on sale now. Under-18s go free and tickets for the Sunday Mail & Les Hoey MBE Dreammaker Foundation Family Racenight start at just £20 per adult.
