Draw up a will with Scullion LAW and aid Marie Curie too
Hamilton law firm Scullion LAW are encouraging people to sign up to create a free will in aid of Marie Curie.
This is the fourth year they have run such a scheme, whereby people can leave a gift for the charity in their will.
And they are urging anyone, aged 55 and over, who does not have a will to contact them before March 31.
Locally, Marie Curie provide care and support to individuals and families, living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home. Last year they charity supported over 8000 people in Scotland.
Dorothy Scullion from Scullion LAW said: “Marie Curie is a charity close to our hearts. Their kind nurses cared for our dear aunt Margaret in Motherwell during her final days, so we shall be forever grateful.”
Hazel Crombie, Marie Curie legacy advisor, said: “Thank you to Scullion LAW for supporting us with the free will scheme. By choosing to leave a gift in your will to Marie Curie, you’re helping provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness.”
Nicholas Scullion added: “You can make an
Kappointment to speak to one our experienced solicitors at a time that suits you.
“Please note our scheme officially ends March 31, but if you call today, we can take appointments throughout April.
“Having a valid will ensures your wishes are met in the future, and it also makes life easier for you those you leave behind. So we encourage everyone to seize this opportunity to make a free will to protect the people and things that matter most to you.”
For those who already have a will in place the law firm recommend you update it every five years or whenever your personal circumstances change through divorce, separation, death, birth of grandchildren, or when you buy or sell property.
