A magical night of entertainment
REVIEW Shirley Bartynek
Hamilton Town House became the setting for a spectacular evening of magic at the weekend.
The top entertainment venue offers a fabulous mixture of shows and Saturday’s Britain’s Got Magic did not disappoint.
The audience, which was made up of young and old, were amazed by the sensational magic of Christian Lee, who reached the live finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2016.
As he reminded the crowd, although he didn’t win the competition with his tongue-incheek humour, he made everyone laugh.
The show was aimed at families, and the youngsters in the audience certainly enjoyed the magic mixed with comedy.
Joining Christian on stage was puppet master Steve Hewlett, who shot to fame on 2013’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The ventriloquist brought out some of the puppets he used on the ITV show including the hilarious Arthur Lager, who got the kids rolling around in their seats with his ‘Chucky’ jokes.
He also used his Simon Cowell puppet for a time and fans of the TV show certainly enjoyed his sketch.
For me, Steve stole the show and even turned one unlucky audience member into a puppet on stage.
The show overall, was funny and magical, and brought a bit of Saturday night television onto the stage.
