Community cafe looking for therapists
Volunteer therapists are being sought by a Stonehouse-based community cafe.
The Hope Cafe is held with the aim of promoting positive mental health and wellbeing.
It offers relaxation and meditation sessions, a writing group, massage, an info and a safe place to talk.
It is held in St Ninian’s Church hall on Vicars Street, and will be hosted today (July 12), between 10am and 2pm.
The cafe is run every second week, with the following date table being July 26.
The existing group are currently appealing for either a qualified or trainee beauty therapist, and / or an alternative therapy practitioner.
Hope Cafe’s Beverley Ferguson said: “Any time you have to offer between our hours would be greatly appreciated. We promote positive mental health and well-being in Lanarkshire, however the cafe is open to all.
“All volunteer expenses will be covered and we provide excellent training opportunities. It will also be a very rewarding experience with an excellent atmosphere of camaraderie.”
Anyone who can help should call Beverley on 07340 859713, or message The Hope Cafe Lanarkshire on Facebook.
