Ordered to pay compensation
A former Larkhall man must pay £1000 in compensation after an assault victim suffered cuts which needed stitches.
David Dunn (50), formerly of Scotia Crescent, admitted punching Christopher Lenson (64) repeatedly during a struggle in Raploch Street, Larkhall, on September 30 last year.
Hamilton Sheriff Court heard Mr Lenson fell and struck his head on the ground. He needed seven stitches in a head wound and three in a cut lip, and has been left with scars.
Dunn, who now lives in Peterborough, was also ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid community work.
