Or­dered to pay com­pen­sa­tion

A for­mer Larkhall man must pay £1000 in com­pen­sa­tion after an as­sault vic­tim suf­fered cuts which needed stitches.

David Dunn (50), for­merly of Sco­tia Cres­cent, ad­mit­ted punch­ing Christo­pher Len­son (64) re­peat­edly dur­ing a strug­gle in Raploch Street, Larkhall, on Septem­ber 30 last year.

Hamil­ton Sher­iff Court heard Mr Len­son fell and struck his head on the ground. He needed seven stitches in a head wound and three in a cut lip, and has been left with scars.

Dunn, who now lives in Peter­bor­ough, was also or­dered to do 100 hours of un­paid com­mu­nity work.
