Finalists named forfood awards
Hamilton has a number of contenders in the final of the Scottish Asian Food Awards.
Blue Chilli is up for Thai Restaurant of the Year at the ceremony in Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on Monday, November 19.
And Jade Palace is in the running for Cantonese Restaurant of the Year.
The town’s Kurry Lounge is also nominated in the South West Scotland category for Outstanding Indian Restaurant of the Year.
Meanwhile, Motherwell also has three finalists.
Indian Villa is nominated in the South West Scotland section for Five-star Indian Restaurant of the Year.
Kamran Tandoori is in the running for Five-star Indian Takeaway of the Year.
And the Nippy Tung is up for Takeaway & Home Delivery of the Year.
The list of finalists has been compiled and announced based on hundreds of nominations received by the public.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: “We wish all our finalists the very best of luck and are looking forward to a great night.”
