Fash­ion fundraiser at high school

Braid­hurst Par­ents’group are host­ing a fash­ion sale in the school tonight (Thurs­day, Novem­ber 8) at 7pm.

Tick­ets cost £5 and in­clude tea/cof­fee and en­try into two prize draws for a £25 voucher to be spent on the night. The tick­ets can be pur­chased at the door.

The fash­ion sale of­fers huge dis­counts, of up to 75 per cent, off var­i­ous high street stores such as River Is­land, Oa­sis, Marks and Spencer and Top­shop, amongst many oth­ers. And the event will also of­fer a raf­fle and all pro­ceeds are be­ing raised to al­low the school to fund projects and trips that en­hance pupils’ex­pe­ri­ence.

Mean­while, many pupils from Braid­hurst High vis­ited the SEC in Glas­gow for a Skills Scot­land event.

Young­sters were able to par­tic­i­pate in many work­shops, rang­ing from con­struc­tion to Coca-cola.

Pupils also re­cently en­joyed a work­shop and pre­sen­ta­tion by a team from North La­nark­shire Coun­cil on jobs within the pub­lic sec­tor.

It also pro­vided ex­tra in­for­ma­tion and en­cour­age­ment to those who are in­ter­ested in work­ing in ed­u­ca­tion.
