Martin wants to wreak havoc on six-gun Hibs

Hamilton Advertiser - - SPORT -

Scott Martin admits he’s still haunted by Hamilton’s 6-0 thrashing against Hibs at Easter Road, and hopes to make it right on Saturday.

The former Hibs youngster was in the Accies line-up that was humbled by the Easter Road side in the capital back in October, and wants to make sure that there is no repeat at the HOPECBD Stadium.

He said:“i think some of the boys have still got that result in the back of their minds – I know I have, being my former club and stuff like that.

“I think the boys are going to really be up for that game, but with the Dundee game last night (Wednesday) it’s a big week for us.”

Team-mate Ziggy Gordon echoed Scott’s thoughts on that disaster, having come on as a sub at Easter Road.

He said:“there’s always hurt from losing goals, nobody likes losing goals. I’m still hurting from losing one on Saturday.

“We won 3-1 in a vitally important game against St Mirren, and I’m angry that we didn’t keep a clean sheet.”

Pain game Martin can’t forget the pain caused by 6-0 loss to Hibs in Leith
