Healthy outlook for care plan
South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership (SLHSCP) has issued a vote of thanks to those who participated and offered views to shape a crucial plan.
The Strategic Commissioning Plan 2019 – 2022 will set out the key priorities in the ongoing development of health and social care services in South Lanarkshire over the next three years and beyond.
It will focus on the support that SLHSCP can provide to people in communities to assist them to maximise their health and wellbeing.
Val de Souza, director of health and social care for SLHSCP, said:“in the spirit of our vision – working together to improve health and wellbeing in the community – with the community, we are committed to listening and engaging with people throughout South Lanarkshire to help review our existing priorities and identify any emerging needs.
“We’ve now held a series of stakeholder events in our four localities and our primary mechanism for seeking the wider views of stakeholders and public was a digital online survey.
“The survey focused on eliciting crucial information on what people see as the priorities for health and social care delivery.”
A bank of information, views and feedback was gleaned from both the locality events and online survey.
This information is currently being analysed and considered as the process of structuring the plan gets underway.
And a draft of the plan is set to be presented to the Integration Joint Board of South Lanarkshire in March 2019.
