With live-action versions of both this and Aladdin, next year is a big one for Disney rebooting more cartoon classics.
Audiences will be hoping for Beauty and the Beast-style magic; and with Beyoncé, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Seth Rogen and James Earl Jones on board this certainly has a good chance of winning over old and new fans.

Given his fate at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, you could be forgiven for wondering how Tom Holland’s Spidey is back web-slinging, but given this sequel was green-lit beforehand, it’s safe to assume he’ll return.

Marvel Released: March 8
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) finally welcomes its first solo female-led adventure as Brie Larson stars as the all-powerful titular heroine.
This will be a prequel to much of what we’ve seen before as it’s set in the 1990s, meaning appearances from a younger Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg).
Released: May 31
The giant beast’s first city-bashing effort may have slightly disappointed, but he’s bringing along a few friends on this occasion.
If the trailers are anything to go by, showdowns with Mothra, Rodan, and ultimate nemesis King Ghidorah are set to lay waste to much of the planet — and there’s also the big-screen bow of Stranger Things’millie Bobby Brown to look forward to.

Chapter 2 Just when you thought it was safe to walk past a storm drain, Bill Skarsgård’s chilling Pennywise the Clown makes his return.
An impressive cast has been assembled to play the adult versions of the first movie’s cracking young ensemble, including Jessica Chastain, James Mcavoy and Bill Hader, as a 27-year time jump comes into affect.
Toy Story 4 Released: June 21
The third entry in this hit animated franchise seemed to be a perfect climax for Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang.
But if there’s one series Pixar have showed a firm hand with it’s this one, and the recently released trailer promises much.
New voice cast additions include Keanu Reeves and Patricia Arquette.
Rumours suggest anything from time travel or a trip to the Quantum Realm to assistance from Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel following her own solo adventure could come into play.
One thing is for sure, though, Endgame will make a killing at the box office.
Released: November 27
Yet another animated sequel in 2019, but one many will be looking forward to.
Not much is known about the plot beyond the confirmed returns of Anna, Elsa and Olaf and surely, given the title, further wintry-themed escapades.
Time will tell if it’s a Christmas cracker or time to let the Frozen universe go.
The Lego Movie 2 Released: February 8
Let’s hope everything is awesome with this much-anticipated follow-up to 2014’s surprise critical and commercial hit.
You can rest assured there will be even more iconic characters portrayed in brick form this time around as the plot takes a returning Emmet and Wyldstyle into space to deal with the extraterrestrial threat of the Lego Duplo invaders.
Star Wars: Episode IX Released: December 19
The Last Jedi may have divided hardcore Star Wars fans, but they’ll still be queuing round the block to see this latest trllogy-closer.
It will be interesting to see how the journey ends and if we really have seen the last of Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker, while, according to reports, archive footage will help to give the late Carrie Fisher’s Leia a fitting send-off.
