Family fun for Burnbank group

The Family Nights in Burnbank group celebrated their first ever Christmas party before finishing up for the winter break.

Run by volunteers from the Community Playscheme Hub – and supported by Community Links and Save the Children – the evenings have proved to be extremely popular, with many families attending each week.

There are different themed activities each week for the children, an opportunity for parents/carers to catch up with what is happening in the community and a selection of free food to those who come along.

Over 14 families went along to the Christmas party and took part in fun and games, enjoyed a selection of grub and even got a present from Santa.

Family Nights in Burnbank is open to families from Hillhouse, Udston and Burnbank and takes place every Tuesday between 5.45pm and 7.45pm in The Burnbank Centre.

Entry is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
