Gaelforce comes to town

-

A story with a‘maelstrom of forbidden love’at its heart will enchant audiences at Motherwell Concert Hall next month.

Gaelforce Dance, an Irish dance show, will take to the stage on Friday, February 8.

The glittering new production is a celebration of Irish dance, music and song, and has tapped its way into the hearts of millions of audience members worldwide since its inception in 1999.

It depicts the story of two lovers, Aisling and Lorcan, who are blissfully unaware of the passion that will erupt between them, leading them into a maelstrom of forbidden love and the community into a cauldron of hate.

Richard Griffin, choreographer, said:“we aim to be different from other shows.

“We are more theatrical, we operate by a very sharp edge, which is very challenging for our dancers, but the experience of our show is irreplaceable and much more emotional and immediate.”

The show is at Motherwell Concert Hall on Friday, February 8, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £24 for adults and £22 concessions. To book, visit culturenl.co.uk or call the box office on 01698 403120.
