On the ball after footy tourney win
North Lanarkshire Leisure’s walking football team, representing Scotland, won the home nations tournament.
Jean Jones, Provost of North Lanarkshire held a civic lunch in recognition of them winning the Home Countriestrophy.
Nicky Laughlin, football development co-ordinator with North Lanarkshire Leisure, said: “Congratulations to the team, they have done incredibly well to become national champions.
“Age is no barrier to keeping fit. Being active is more important than ever to maintaining good physical and mental health and our walking football is a great way to do that while socialising with like-minded friends.”
