Children from St Blane’s Primary have been getting tips on how to stay fit thanks to Blantyre Vics Football Club.
For the Scottish junior football side have been visiting schools to deliver a series of Gofitba sessions to pupils, with their most recent visit taking place prior to the festive break.
The club are working alongside the Scottish Football Partnership Trust to deliver the programme to South Lanarkshire schools, giving children the best possible platform to go on and be fit healthy adults, with life lessons that will hopefully stay with them for years to come.
A spokesperson for the club said: “A great time was had by both pupils, teachers and Blantyre Vics youth coaches as we combined football training with a classroom session on how to have and maintain a healthy lifestyle, which included a healthy nutritious lunch for the kids to eat.
“We are very proud to be working alongside the Scottish Football Partnership Trust to deliver the great Gofitba programme to South Lanarkshire schools.
“Next stop for the Vics Gofitba is Glenlee Primary School in Hamilton.”
