The Rev­erend Murdo Mac­don­ald will lead us in wor­ship on Sun­day, Jan­uary 13, at 11.30am. All wel­come to at­tend.

Sport­ing Mem­o­ries Group will meet on Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 23, at 7.30pm in the small hall within Liv­ing­stone Me­mo­rial Church.

Sanc­tus ser­vice: The Fruit of the Spirit – Kind­ness will be held on, Sun­day,- jan­uary 13, in High Blan­tyre Bap­tist Church. Re­fresh­ments will be served at 6.30pm and the ser­vice will com­mence at 7pm. All wel­come to at­tend.

Kirk Ses­sion: Mem­bers of the Kirk Ses­sion will meet on Mon­day, Jan­uary 14.

Brew and Blether: We con­tinue meet­ing ev­ery Thurs­day be­tween 10.30am and noon in the church hall.

It would be lovely to see you for a cuppa and a wee blether. Every­one will be made most wel­come.


On Sun­day, Jan­uary 13, our ser­vice will be­gin at 11.30am and we will be led in wor­ship by Rev­erend Lind­sey San­der­son, min­is­ter of Hamil­ton/east Kil­bride Pas­torate of United Re­formed Church.

Re­fresh­ments will be served in the hall af­ter­wards and a warm wel­come given to all.

Our Saint Pope John Paul Ora­tory for ado­ra­tion of the Blessed Sacra­ment opened again on Mon­day, Jan­uary 8.

Masses and ser­vices from our par­ish are avail­able on the web.

On Mon­day the Padre Pio Prayer Group meet af­ter the 9.30am mass and a si­lent prayer vigil for life is held from 8pm to 9pm.

The SVDP meet at 5.30pm on Tues­days and the RCIA con­tin­ues at 7pm in the small hall.

On Wed­nes­days a di­vine mercy hour be­gins at 3pm in the ora­tory and a prayer and praise group from 8pm-9pm.

The prayer gar­den is open Mon­days to Satur­days 10am-4pm.

Church clean­ing is on Fri­day morn­ings af­ter mass if any­one would like to help.

Sun­day masses: Vigil 4.30pm, 10am, noon, 6pm.

Week­day Mass: 9.30am daily. Rosary: 9.10am daily.

Con­fes­sions: Satur­day 9am- 9.25am and af­ter vigil mass.


On Sun­day, Jan­uary 13, Claire will lead our wor­ship at 10am.

We look for­ward to the re­turn of our Sun­day School and their own spe­cial joy they bring with them.

Our cof­fee lounge has re- opened and


a warm wel­come awaits all who come through our ever open door.

All is now back into op­er­a­tion and our hall is well used by a great va­ri­ety of peo­ple.

Our kirk ses­sion mem­bers are re­minded that the next meet­ing date is sched­uled for Mon­day, Jan­uary 28.

John Ni­col­son has been ap­pointed to serve as locum of our linked charge and we pray that his min­istry will be long and fruit­ful.


Morn­ing wor­ship at St John’s Church in Hamil­ton will be led by the Rev­erend Joanne Hood at 10.45am this Sun­day, Jan­uary 13.

The even­ing ser­vice will be held at 6.30pm and all will be made most wel­come at ei­ther ser­vice. The youth group meets at 7.30pm.

The sum of £700 has been do­nated to the Sal­va­tion Army from col­lec­tions taken at the Christ­in­gle Ser­vice on Christ­mas Eve, the Watch­night Ser­vice and Christ­mas morn­ing ser­vice.

Thanks to all for their gen­er­ous do­na­tions.

All of the church or­gan­i­sa­tions have re­sumed af­ter the Christ­mas hol­i­day, de­tails avail­able in the cen­tre.

Re­hearsals for this year’s Pas­sion Play be­gan on Tues­day, Jan­uary 8, at 7pm in Hamil­ton Old Par­ish Church.

The Pas­sion Play was a huge suc­cess last year, as hun­dreds of peo­ple at­tended the open-air pro­duc­tion which told the Pas­sion of Christ.

Come along and join the re­hearsals ahead of the 2019 pro­duc­tion.

The mid­week ser­vice, which lasts 15-30 min­utes will be held in St John’s Church Sanc­tu­ary at 12.15pm on Thurs­day, Jan­uary 10. Please come along.

St John’s Cen­tre, Book Cor­ner and Chapel open Mon­day to Satur­day 10am to 4pm. All wel­come.


Our morn­ing ser­vice this Sun­day, Jan­uary 13, is at 10.45am with wor­ship be­ing led by Rev Ross Black­man.

Creche and Sun­day Live for our younger mem­bers dur­ing the ser­vice. Join us for a tea or cof­fee over in the halls af­ter the ser­vice.

To­day, Thurs­day, if you find your­self at a loose end come along to our film club at 1.30pm and see what’s in store.

Our Mon­day Club meet at 1.30pm this com­ing Mon­day and later in the day we have our bad­minton club and Saf­fron­hall Singers at 7.30pm.

Tues­day the Brown­ies meet at 6.15pm, the ban­ner group at 7.30pm and the Old Kirk Dancers at 7.45pm.

All sec­tions of the Boys’ Bri­gade meet from 5.30pm on Wed­nes­day with the choir meet­ing at 7pm.


Our next ser­vice will be on Sun­day, Jan­uary 13, at 11.30am and it will be led by Claire Her­bert Dea­con of the Church of Scot­land.

An open in­vi­ta­tion is given to any­one who wishes to come along and join us.

You will be made most wel­come at Hamil­ton West. Come a bit early and you can en­joy a cof­fee or tea and a chat be­fore the ser­vice starts.

All or­gan­i­sa­tions have now re­sumed along with the Sun­day school.


Locum Reader Lynette Jar­dine will con­duct the ser­vice at 11.15am on Sun­day. Vis­i­tors will bee made most wel­come.

The Bi­ble study group will meet at 9.30am and on Thurs­day at 7.30pm.

All or­gan­i­sa­tions will restart in line with the school hol­i­days.

We have added an­other ‘Twin Toi­let’ to our list. It is in East Zam­bia.

This is an on­go­ing pro­ject whereby we do­nate enough money to in­stall a toi­let for those with none.


Sun­day Wor­ship on Jan­uary 13, will take place in Dalserf Church at 11.30am and will be con­ducted by Rev­erend John Steven­son.

The choir will meet at 10.30am in Dalserf.

Bi­ble Study meets in Hamil­ton Dalserf on Mon­day, Jan­uary 14 at 11am and all are wel­come.

The Girls’ Bri­gade meet on Mon­day, Jan­uary 14, at Rori­son Church in Ashgill.

The gath­er­ing will meet at 12.30 in Hamil­ton Hall Dalserf on Tues­day, Jan­uary 15.

The guild an­nual Burns Sup­per in Rori­son on Wed­nes­day, Jan­uary 23, at 7pm.

On Sun­day our morn­ing wor­ship will be con­ducted by Rev Jim Mun­ton at the usual time to 9.45am, please come along and join us in our wor­ship.

Our Fri­day Friend­ship Lunch Club recom­mences this Fri­day, af­ter the hol­i­days, at 12.30pm.

Why not come along and en­joy a light lunch, a game of cards or domi­noes or just a blether among friends. We look for­ward to see­ing you.


The ser­vices on Sun­day (Jan­uary 13) at 10.45am and 6.30pm will led by the Rev John Shearer, for­mer Pas­tor of Mus­sel­burgh Bap­tist Church.

The morn­ing ser­vice on Sun­day will be fol­lowed by light re­fresh­ments in the church halls.

Af­ter the morn­ing ser­vice, two mem­bers of the con­gre­ga­tion will be avail­able to pray with any­one feel­ing the need of prayer.

The guest speaker at the se­nior cit­i­zens meet­ing on Mon­day, Jan­uary 14 at 2pm will be Michelle Kel­let-smith of JJS in Mary­hill.

The Soundroutes Singers re­hearsals recom­mence at 7.30pm on Tues­day, Jan­uary 15, and new mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.
