‘Positive response’ from footage

-

Lynn Callan’s heartbreaking video is now the second to emerge in under two weeks.

Last week, the Advertiser reported on a similar story highlighting a different health-related issue.

A Larkhall mum made a desperate plea for help by releasing a shocking video of how her disabled son, Kenneth Murphy, is forced to crawl out his home every day.

The footage shows the 27-year-old, who has cerebral palsy and is partially sighted, bravely having to inch out of his front door before struggling down two concrete steps and placing himself in his wheelchair.

Kenneth’s video on social media went viral and the family had messages and calls from around the world. The Advertiser also took many calls from people looking to help financially.

Since Kenneth’s video and story were highlighted, his mum Angela has been overwhelmed by the“positive response.”

She said:“i have received a number of calls from people wanting to help. Many have even offered to build a ramp for Kenneth. It’s been amazing.

“We are now getting somewhere with the authority. It might take a little time to get something long-term sorted, but at least we are getting somewhere.

“I can’t thank everyone enough including the Advertiser who helped to highlight this.”
