Eurovision fans can join in with the ultimate viewing party for this year’s grand final – by watching the song contest in style on the big screen.

Vue Cinema in Hamilton will be showing the song contest on Saturday, May 13, and is inviting viewers to“feel every beat, clap and cheer”by watching the festivitie­s live from Liverpool.

Fans are being promised“amazing picture and sound quality, in the comfort of premium seating”and tickets are on sale now.

The Eurovision extravagan­za at Vue is the first time the song contest, which has run for 67 years and has a global audience of more than 160 million, has been broadcast live in cinemas.

It is taking place in Liverpool this year as the UK, last year’s runner-up, hosts on behalf of 2022 winners Ukraine due to the ongoing war there.

In addition to the four-hour show, which is described as“one of the world’s biggest entertainm­ent events”, the cinema showing will also include an exclusive big-screen preview of new BBC Three show I Kissed A Boy, presented by Dannii

Minogue.

A total of 26 acts will compete in the grand final, beginning at 8pm – and which will see UK entrant Mae Muller close the show with 2023 entry I Wrote A Song, before the nail-biting voting gets underway.

Vue Entertainm­ent head of screen content Robert Lea said: “Eurovision is one of the biggest television events of the year, and is set to be bigger than ever in the UK this year as Liverpool plays host, so we’re thrilled to be bringing it to the big screen for the first time.

“Every song, every vote and every larger-than-life moment will be live streamed in amazing picture and sound quality for fans to enjoy with each other in the comfort of our premium seating.”

Tickets for the Eurovision grand final are on sale at www.myvue. com.

Organisers say it will allow fans to come together under the banner of the contest’s 2023 slogan,“united by music”, saying they will be able to“share in the incredible experience of celebratin­g the biggest, brightest and boldest music party of the year on the big screen.”
