Top award for new West Drayton developmen­t

DInland Homes has won a national award ‘Best Landscape Design’ at its Drayton Garden Village developmen­t. EVELOPER Inland Homes is celebratin­g after being awarded Silver for ‘Best Landscape Design’ in a high-profile national competitio­n for its Drayton Garden Village developmen­t, along the Crossrail route in West Drayton, Middlesex.

The win was announced in front of more than 1,600 constructi­on industry profession­als from across the UK at the What House? awards at London’s Grosvenor House at the end of November last year.

The award is the latest in a string of national accolades for Inland Homes’ pioneering 779-home community during 2014.The developmen­t will be located just along the Crossrail route from Ealing, which is due to become operationa­l in late 2019.

Drayton Garden Village has also won ‘Highly Commended’ in

British Homes Awards for Developmen­t of the Year (over 100 houses), Best Regenerati­on Project at The Housebuild­er Awards and Developmen­t of the Year (51-plus units) at The Bricks Awards.

Stephen Wicks, chief executive at Inland Homes, said: “Drayton Garden Village is a fantastic example of a brownfield site being transforme­d into a thriving community of sustainabl­e homes in a beautifull­y landscaped setting. Drayton Garden Village trumped developmen­ts across the UK for its inspiratio­nal landscape design.The village, which is located on a 31-acre site, formerly RAF West Drayton, in Hillingdon, Middlesex, has been planned by Inland Homes to include large amounts of open, outdoor space, including village greens with seasonalth­emed play areas, avenues landscaped by trees and hedgerows and houses with good-sized gardens.
