Volunteers and donations have kept clinic open over decades

-

THE RSPCA Hillingdon, Slough, Windsor, Kingston, District Branch has had a clinic since before the Second World War.

Over the generations, millions of volunteer hours have kept this safe haven open for sick, unwanted and abandoned pets and pets belonging to people in hardship who cannot afford private vet fees. Around 13,000 pets a year go through our doors and we face financial battles on a constant daily basis. We receive no state aid or help from local councils so rely on the goodwill and generosity of supporters.

Here are some of the ways your help our efforts on behalf of local animals in need: by donating online, making regular donations; volunteering a few hours at our centres; donating pet goods, food and bedding.

As we always say ‘we can’t do it without you’, so if you can help please contact the clinic at 16 Crescent Parade, Hillingdon, UB10 0LG. Call 01895 270926 or visit our website.

Smudge is a lovely character who is looking for a rather special experienced home.

He needs someone who can give him all the love and attention he craves and understands how upset he gets being left on his own (especially at bed time), so is happy to be with him most of the time. Smudge is good with children, and other dogs on the whole – but the terrier instinct is strong and he definitely couldn’t live with cats or other small furries.

Do you have the love, time and patience to offer Smudge in return for an affectionate and devoted companionship (with loads of cuddles thrown in)?

If you think you can offer one of our animals a loving home then please ring RSPCA Hillingdon Branch on 01895 833417 or visit our website www. rspcahillingdonclinic.org. uk to download an application form.
