AHF competition winner thought the good news was just a joke on him!

£1,000 voucher set to be spent on new sofa as store opens doors at Hayes Retail Park

A HAYES man was delighted to win £1,000 to spend in a newlyopened furniture store.

Gurvinder Kabli, 40, was the lucky winner of the voucher to spend at AHF, who opened their new store at Hayes Bridge Retail Park on Friday August 28.

AHF are the largest employee co-operative in the UK, and have fantastic opening offers available on their range of furniture and carpets with four years interest free credit and no deposit available.

Mr Kabli, who works as an Export Document Processor near Heathrow, thought a joke was being played on him when he was told he’d won the prize.

He said: “I was at work and I always read getwestlondon.co.uk news so I was having a look on the website when I saw the competition and thought I’d enter it.

“I’d entered quite a few competitions before but obviously I’d never won anything, so I didn’t think anything of it.”

The next day he received the phone call with the good news and was asked to visit AHF to pick up his winning voucher.

Mr Kabli added: “I thought he was winding me up! Even when I was down there the next day I thought it was still a joke but when (the staff member at AHF) met me at reception I was just shocked really.

“I’ll spend the voucher on whatever my wife wants, probably a new sofa. Our kids will be happy they’ll have something to jump on as well!”

For the chance to win, entrants had to answer: “When was AHF Gurvinder Kabli of Hayes Rebecca EllisPedersen from London N5

Theresa Marland, of Angel Islington, London

Sakina Ali of Uxbridge

established?” which could be answered by text message or on line at getwestlondon.co.uk
