Spasov treble gives Explorers the upper hand

FOOTBALL

-

MAN of the match Samuel Spasov hit a hat-trick, while Adam Devlin, Joseph Davies and Louis Blomily also netted, as West Drayton Explorers U12s beat George Green 6-2 on Sunday.

Kajus Cepas and Filipino Ponski bagged a brace each, with Armondio Moriero joining them on the scoresheet and Aston Odeyale picked as star man as the U7s took control from start to finish against BJ Minors, winning 5-2.

Goals from Rueben Lury, Gabriel Dickson and Cairo Jones, plus a man of the match display from Rounak Bagale, were not enough for the U8s as they were picked off 5-3 by visitors Golden Eagles, while the U9 Reds went down 5-0 at Old Windsor Tigers.

Both U10 sides drew 3-3 – the Blues against Harefield United (Ciaran West, Elliot Tackley and Alberto Rodriguez-Owens) and the Purples against Chalfont Saints Utd (Rokas Darzinskas, Finn Murphy and Tyler Palfrey), with Samuel Tekle man of the match for the latter.

The U13s only had 10 men at home to Old Windsor Tigers, but battled away regardless and were leading 6-3 through doubles from Armani Adams and Alvie Taylor, plus further goals from Lewis Scott and Jayden Blackwood. However, when they lost another player to injury the floodgates opened and Explorers went on to lose 10-6.

There was a narrow 4-3 defeat at Widmer United for the U16s, despite goals from Zubair Naseri, Sejdi Idrizi and Jack Fowler, while Brandon Pritchard’s strike for the U15s proved no more than a consolation in their 6-1 defeat to Burnham Tiger Reds.
