Young man treated for mul­ti­ple stab wounds

A YOUNG man who was stabbed mul­ti­ple times dur­ing an at­tack in Uxbridge on Mon­day (May 28) suf­fered in­juries not thought to be lifethreat­en­ing.

At around 2.44pm, po­lice in Hilling­don were called to Vi­o­let Av­enue fol­low­ing re­ports of a stab­bing.

Po­lice and paramedics from Lon­don Am­bu­lance Ser­vice ar­rived along with an air am­bu­lance and found a man in his 20s suf­fer­ing mul­ti­ple stab in­juries at the scene.

He was air­lifted to hospi­tal, where he was treated for in­juries, which are not thought to be life-threat­en­ing, a po­lice spokesman said on Tues­day (May 29).

No ar­rests have been made and po­lice con­tinue to in­ves­ti­gate the stab­bing.

Traf­fic was di­verted away from the area while a po­lice cor­don and crime scene re­mained in place through­out Mon­day af­ter­noon.

A po­lice spokesman said: “Of­fi­cers and Lon­don Am­bu­lance Ser­vice and Lon­don Air Am­bu­lance at­tended and found a man in his twen­ties suf­fer­ing from stab wounds.

“He has been air­lifted to hospi­tal. No ar­rests have been made.”

Po­lice were called to the Sains­bury’s, in Long Drive, at 1.15pm on Satur­day (May 26) fol­low­ing re­ports of a col­li­sion between a car and two pedes­tri­ans.

Of­fi­cers at­tended and found two fe­male pedes­tri­ans in­jured.

The first woman, aged 64, was taken to hospi­tal with crit­i­cal in­juries. She died on Sun­day morn­ing from her in­juries.

Her next of kin have been in­formed. The sec­ond woman, aged in her fifties, was dis­charged with mi­nor in­juries.

The driver, an 86-year-old man, stopped at the scene and is as­sist­ing po­lice with their en­quiries.

He was ar­rested for fail­ing to pro­vide a spec­i­men but af­ter be­ing taken to a po­lice sta­tion and as­sessed he was then re­leased un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion. En­quiries con­tinue with of­fi­cers from the Roads and Trans­port Polic­ing Com­mand lead­ing the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.
