-

A BUILDER stabbed to death at his Hounslow home was discovered by his younger brother, an inquest has heard.

His son has been arrested and charged with his murder, after the 48-year-old was found in the property on Chatsworth Crescent on December 13, 2021. Jacek Staszczyk was found by his younger brother Zbiegniew Staszczyk, a fellow builder, who went into the home to see him shortly after 5pm.

He said: “When I found him, I knew that he had been badly hurt and that he had died.”

Zbiegniew alerted the emergency services who arrived with police and paramedics, and Jacek was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement read aloud at West London Coroners Court on Thursday, January 20, coroner’s officer Nicky De-Lande said: “A male occupant was found in a room in a house of multiple occupancies, found dead by his brother with a number of injuries.”

An initial post-mortem examination has listed his cause of death as shock and haemorrhage and stab wounds to the chest.

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, said: “Sadly Jacek lost his life in what was an act of violence.”

His 25-year-old son, Mateusz Staszczyk, of Great South West Road, Hounslow was arrested and charged with his murder on December 16.

He made his first appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on December 17 and has been remanded in custody.
