Politician, judge, jury and an artful dodger
THE ham-fisted way the Met has dealt with Partygate demonstrates the need for a properly resourced anti corruption court. Only thus can we deal with problems such as Johnson and his gang are posing.
Cressida Dick and her colleagues (who one assumes were ‘lent on’ earlier in the saga) are clearly completely out of their depth in dealing with a political Artful Dodger of the kind Boris Johnson represents.
Obviously too the new written constitution our country so badly needs will have to deal explicitly with how we bring to book a PM who currently is responsible for implementing the Ministerial Code (so in recent times being judge and jury in his own case). Andrew McLuskey
