IN this new series of four programmes looking at dramatic chapters in British history, the excellent Lucy Worsley explores changing attitudes to gender, class, mental health and children, examining how our perceptions have changed over the centuries. In this first programme, she looks at the witch hunts of the 16th century when thousands of ordinary people, the vast majority of them women, were hunted down, tortured and killed across both England and Scotland.
