Woman’s body found in alleyway

MAN IS ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF MURDER

A 21-YEAR-OLD woman has been found stabbed to death in an alleyway in west London on Tuesday (May 17) morning.

Officers from the Met were called to Robert’s Alley off Church Gardens, South Ealing, at just after midnight.

Officers attended the scene with London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. They found a woman who had suffered a number of stab injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they are confident they know the woman’s identity and are in the process of informing her next of kin.

A post-mortem examinatio­n will be arranged in due course.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody at a west London police station. A crime scene remained in place and enquiries are ongoing.

The Liberal Democrat Councillor for Ealing Common ward Jon Ball has reported that Grange School, Grange Nursery and Grange Pre-School are all within the police cordon so were closed on Tuesday.
