IT’S been a while coming but the first part of the fourth series of Stranger Things arrives with plenty of expectation and lots of story threads to pick up as the supernatural is never far from the surface in the small US town of Hawkins. As our teenage heroes grapple with the usual adolescent woes and worries, they find an opportunity to end the malign threat of the Upside Down for good… but, of course, it’s not a straightforward proposition. As always, there’s as much to enjoy in the retro 1980s stylings as the sci-fi storylines with the two Steves, Spielberg and King, big influences.
