A ‘DANGEROUS’ dog was shot dead by armed police officers in a West London street on Monday after ‘attacking a disabled woman’s son’.

The woman told MyLondon she was left fearing for her and her son’s lives following the attack.

The Metropolitan Police were called at 10.55pm on Monday May 16 to Yew Avenue in West Drayton to reports of a man being attacked by an out of control dog.

When they arrived, they found the man being attacked and ‘discharged a taser’ at which point, the man was able to run away.

Police told MyLondon the dog then also ran off, before being found by officers and shot dead ‘due to the danger posed to members of the public’.

“I watched the dog attack my son,” Suzanne Wythe told MyLondon. “I had fear for his and and my life. I couldn’t do anything. I am disabled and can’t run due to my stroke in 2016 and nervous breakdown.”

She added, “I’m worried about my son – he is in a bad way. And I’m scared to go out now.”

I owe you my life – seriously, thank you.”

Suzanne’s injured son was rushed to hospital as a priority by the London Ambulance Service (LAS), where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
