1 Alexandra Soveral Floral Rain, £15 for 50ml
‘Flights and sun play havoc with the skin, drying it out, altering the all-important pH level. I spritz regularly – make that obsessively – with Soveral’s Floral Rain to keep mine hydrated and at the sweet spot of 5.5.’
2 Travaux en Cours chapeau at Petersham Nurseries, £60 ‘I have yet to find the perfect sun cream. What I have found is the perfect hat, the old-fashioned toxin-free way to avoid skin damage. It is from the Côte d’Azur brand Travaux en Cours, and I can report that it comes out of your suitcase looking the same way it did when it went in – namely, very chic indeed.’

Goop G-Tox Ultimate Dry Brush, £18
‘Body brushing may be boring but there is no better cellulite-nuker. Your orange-peel skin will turn apple smooth after just a few weeks of daily brushing, I promise. Always brush towards the heart.’
4
Rodin Luxury Lipstick in Winks, £28
‘Less is more when it comes to make-up for me on holiday. I let a great lipstick do the work. The trick is to find a complexion-enhancing bright that looks light. It’s all about a soupçon of gloss, as delivered by the Rodin range. I alternate between the Tough Tomato red and the hot pink Winks.’
5 de Mamiel Altitude Oil, £30 ‘I used to be the person who caught flu on the flight out. Not any more thanks to Annee de Mamiel’s Altitude Oil. I have even got my sceptical (and similarly flu-prone) father hooked.’
