ANNIE MORRIS

-

Morris attended Central Saint Martins, then studied under the sculptor Giuseppe Penone at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and graduated from Camberwell College of Arts. Known for her Stack sculptures that resemble rainbow totem poles, she has exhibited at galleries including the Royal Academy and Tate St Ives, and has received commissions from fashion houses such as Burberry and Louis Vuitton. She welcomes Bazaar into her Georgian townhouse in

‘My life, my style’.

A memorable exhibition ‘I found Cy Twombly’s “The Last Paintings” at Gagosian really moving. He used only a bright lime green, yellow and orange; I think of him whenever I see those colours.’

A gallery you would like to stay overnight in ‘The Picasso Museum in Paris. I would creep out in the middle of the night and go to Chez Marianne for the world’s best falafel, bring it back and eat it on the stairs under the incredible Giacometti lights.’

Three artists you would invite to a dinner party ‘Yayoi Kusama, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Niki de Saint Phalle.’
