Paedophile jailed for six years
A West London paedophile who sexually assaulted three young girls at “any opportunity presented to him” has been jailed.
David Moyle, of Yeading Lane, Hayes, inappropriately touched the girls, who were all under the age of 13, in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and in Harrow, West London between 2011 and 2017.
The 75-year-old was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault of a female child under 13 and one count of engaging in sexual activity with a child after a five-day trial at Aylesbury Crown Court earlier this month.
The sexual predator was jailed for six years at the same court last Thursday (January 24).
An investigation by Thames Valley Police was launched in 2017 after Moyle’s victims told the police what he had done. Moyle was arrested on December 27 of that year.
During their investigation, detectives found Moyle had sexually assaulted the girls over a seven-year period.
“He was an opportunist,” said investigating officer Detective Constable Collette Parker.
“He took any opportunity presented to him to touch the three girls in a sexual manner under their clothing.”
Speaking after the sentencing, DC Parker praised the bravery of the three victims, and thanked them for their help in convicting Moyle.
“I would like to thank the victims for their courage, bravery and determination throughout the investigation and trial,” she said.
“It has been an extremely traumatic time for them and I hope that the unanimous guilty verdicts and the sentence will bring them some closure.
“I would also like to thank prosecuting counsel Graham Smith for his work in securing this conviction.
“This sentence reflects the hard work that is carried out by the Child Abuse Investigation Unit in bringing offenders to justice and I would encourage anybody who has been a victim of childhood sexual abuse to report it to the police.”
